Big Apple Pond Hockey
The third annual Big Apple Pond Hockey Classic was hosted on March 2 - 3, 2013 in Bryant Park’s own Citi Pond. The event, which has garnered immense popularity from applicants, featured hockey in its purest form in an outdoor arena. It’s just backyard pond hockey in the heart of the Big Apple.
The Big Apple Pond Hockey Classic at Citi Pond featured 3 v. 3 games on rinks half the size of a standard ice hockey rink. With 24 teams participating, this year’s tournament featured top-notch competitive amateur players from around North America, contending for the chance to be crowned New York’s premier pond hockey team.
