Everyone is going to have  a great time at the NHL Charity Game on October 28, 2012 at Mariucci Arena. But let's take a look at why this game is really taking place, why the pro players are coming out to skate, why DTBL is even having this event. It is for the military families, the children of the men and women who serve our country, who are protecting all of us. The game is being played to raise money for Defending The Blue Line who then donates hockey gear, hockey camps, and  association fees to military children who would not otherwise get to play the game of hockey.

So if you aren't going to attend the game or, even if you are, how about donating tickets to a local military family. Go to www.mygophersports.com to purchase tickets. After your purchase, you will receive an email. Please forward this email to Shane@defendingtheblueline.com. Shane will then print the tickets from the email and give them to a local military familiy to attend the game. Give back to those who give so much to you.
