Saturday, April 14, 2012 - An event was held at the Stauber Brothers Sports and Custom Apparel at 2541 Maple Grove Road, Duluth, MN. Newly crowned 2012 Hobey Baker Award Winner Jack Connolly, whose commitment to the community shined through his four years at UMD, continued his streak of giving back with a special fundraising event. Connolly teamed up with Stauber Brothers to raise funds for a Defending the Blue Line annual summer hockey camp held in Hermantown. Funds were raised by selling autographed items, including a t-shirt featuring a picture of the Hobey Baker Award winner for $20, and mini sticks or an 8×10 print of Connolly for $12.

All proceeds went towards the August 6, 7 and 8, 2012 Stauber Brothers Military Heroes Hockey Camp, an affiliate of Defending the Blue Line. Defending the Blue Line is a national organization dedicated to ensuring children of military members are afforded every opportunity to participate in the game of hockey.
