Brent Burns
San Jose Shark Brent Burns has supported Defending The Blue Line from the beginning in 2009 when he played for the MN Wild.
Brent Burns’ support for military families is well known by anyone and everyone around him. While playing for the MN wild, Brent and his wife purchased a suite at the Xcel Energy Center for the entire 2009-10 NHL season and donated it to DTBL. This very generous donation allowed over 500 members of the military family to attend a Minnesota Wild game. DTBL Would like to thank Brent and Susan Burns for the strong support of our mission, and for their undying support of the service men and women of both the United States and Canadian military.
On July 20, 2011 Brent played in the Charity Hockey Game at the Cottage Grove, MN Ice Arena with proceeds benefitting the Hastings Hockey Association, Cottage Grove Hockey Association, and Defending The Blue Line. Brent supports DTBL in many ways including "Burnzie's Battalion". For the 2011-2012 season he purchased a luxury suite for our military in San Jose, CA for the Sharks home games.
During 2012 Brent had a signature charity line of clothing from Gongshow Gear and he donated $20 from each shirt sold and $20 from each hat sold to DTBL.
January 2013 - Burnzie donated a luxury suite to the San Jose Sharks game for DTBL military families. Burnzie's Battalion Rocks!
