Matt Hendricks
Washington Capital Matt Hendricks has been a huge supporters of DTBL by attending fundraisers and posing for the DTBL Public Service Announcement. He and his wife Kim, are working hard to help DTBL become established in the Washington DC area. Through their generous contributions, and Kim’s tireless work helping secure corporate partners, DTBL intends to bring its programs full scale to our nations capitol for the 2011-2012 season. Thanks for your hard work and support for our troops in the DC area!
On July 20, 2011 Matt participated in the Cottage Grove, MN Ice Arena Charity Hockey Game. Proceeds benefitted the Hastings Hockey Association, Cottage Grove Hockey Association, and Defending The Blue Line.
On August 22, 2011 Matt attended the Ice Pack Hockey League Charity Golf Tournament to benefit DTBL at Needwood Golf Course in Rockville, Maryland.
Hendricks attended the NHL Players Charity Game to benefit DTBL on June 20, 2012. It was a great day and evening of autographs and a hockey game between Team East/Air Force/Fox9 vs Team West/Army/KARE11.
In December of 2012, Matt Hendricks joined DTBL president and founder, Shane Hudella, on the USO Holiday Tour. Also joining him were the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey, six-time USO tour entertainer and critically-acclaimed country music singer Kellie Pickler; Washington Nationals pitchers Ross Detwiler and Craig Stammen; Washington Capitals forward Matt Hendricks and comedian and host of the CBS show "Excused" Iliza Shlesinger. and several entertainers on the USO tour.
