The Phoenix Coyotes and Defending The Blue Line partnered together to provide free tickets to 200 military family members for the April 4, 2013 Coyote Game against the Detroit Red Wings.

It was Military Appreciation Night for the Coyotes and Defending The Blue Line had a booth outside the front door of Jobbing Arena. The National Guard participated by bringing in a hummer which the kids loved. They were able to get inside and check it out with the help of the National Guardsmen.

The following day, April 5th, the Coyotes and DTBL hosted a street skate clinic for the Luke AFB military kids. The clinic was run by the Coyote staff and was broken up into to age groups with 45 minutes of play for each group. Each group spent about a half hour learning techniques and then 15 minutes of playing with Howler, the Coyote mascot. The kids had such a great time.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped with this event.
