Defending the Blue Line is helping children of armed service members stick with hockey programs.
Defending The Blue Line was 1 of 20 national finalists in a White House competition to recognize a non profit that supports military families. The White House is leaving it up to America to vote for the winner over the next 30 days, so please log on and vote and ask your friends to do the same.

The Philadelphia Honor Women's Ice Hockey Team have been photographed for a 2012 Calendar to raise money for Defending The Blue Line. Pre-order and pay for your calendar now. Expected date of delivery is mid January.

They are giving free admission to all current military members, veterans and their immediate families to their game against South St. Paul on Sat., Feb. 4th, 3:00 p.m. at Saint Thomas Ice Arena.
There is a Military Appreciation Night coming up in Hastings, MN with Hastings Varsity vs Stillwater Ponies. Proceeds from the raffle and silent auction will benefit Defending The Blue Line.
The College of New Jersey along with the Great Northeast Collegiate Hockey Conference is having an equipment drive for DTBL during their playoffs February 17-19, 2012.
The Philadelphia Honor Women's Ice Hockey Team is sponsoring a 5K Run/1Mile Walk to benefit DTBL. This event takes place at Warminster Community Park in Warminster, PA.

This is one of the hockey camps that DTBL recipients attended last summer in Spooner, WI. Keep watching to see if this camp will be available again this summer.
The NHLPA Goals and Dreams Foundation has donated over $130K in equipment and financial support to DTBL. With their help DTBL has been able to outfitt over 300 kids so far.

Brent and Susan Burns have been a huge part of DTBL from the very beginning. Even with the move to the Sharks, Brent has the San Jose area involved in equipment drives and donating game tickets and suites through "Burnie's Battalion".
